André has practiced Capoeira for over 19 years under Mestre Kinha of Capoeira Besouro Hawaii. He is the founder of Capoeira Besouro Cape Cod (CBCC), a program offering year-round classes for kids and adults for the past six years. CBCC is a foundational program of Movement Arts Cape Cod (MACC), where André helps build an inclusive community through diverse movement arts.
In addition to Capoeira, André has worked as a Special Education Teacher Assistant at Truro Central School for eight years, using movement to engage students with different abilities. He is currently furthering his education at Bridgewater State University, aiming to expand his impact in both education and movement arts.
Through his dedication to Capoeira, teaching, and community-building, André inspires others to explore movement and culture in a supportive, inclusive environment.
