This will be a 5 day in-person meditation retreat, led by an experienced meditator who is not associated with a specific lineage. It is suitable for meditators of any level of experience, including those who have never meditated.
The first day will help participants to establish a supportive meditation posture and will focus on the establishment of concentration. The second day will aim to deepen concentration and to move beyond subtle laxity. The last two and 1/2 days will be devoted primarily to silent practice. Participants should bring food to consume during our 1-hour lunch break and snacks they might require.
A retired psychologist, Dr. Hunt has been a student of the Diamond Approach for 27 years, and has participated in well over 50 multi-day retreats as a student of that school. He has also participated in numerous multi-day residential meditation retreats. He has led other meditation retreats at CSJ and led a weekly meditation group for CSJ for 3 years.
