Michele Insley, E-RYT 500, will be teaching Kripalu Yoga. This all-levels gentle hatha yoga class is taught in the tradition of Kripalu Yoga, known as the “yoga of compassion.” This style of yoga is accessible to everyone and every-body. It places an emphasis on meditation, physical healing, and spiritual transformation that overflows from the yoga mat into daily life. Postures and breath are used to release tension, stretch, and strengthen the body and cultivate overall physical health and mental wellness. Each class ends with time for relaxation.
Michele’s primary training is through the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health where she is certified at the 500-hour level. She has over 4000 teaching hours and is considered an ‘experienced teacher’. She is devoted to her yoga studies and continues her education in yoga asana (the physical practice) as well as yogic philosophy and history, and the “deeper practices” of yoga. As a result, she is influenced and inspired by a variety of teachers in other styles of yoga which include yin yoga, ashtanga yoga and various meditation practices.
When you register you will receive a confirmation email for the class with the zoom link.
