Journeying on Thursdays – Thoughts on the use of words and poetry with Carol Marcy

Bring your pens and paper or not. Be brave! Join in an exploration of the use of words in poetry. As an inspiration for discussion and writing, Carol will read an interesting section from N. Scott Momaday’s book House Made of Dawn on a Native American perspective about how one tells of a numinous experience. No prior writing experience is necessary, just a willingness to listen and experiment for fun.

Time will be given to write and share (optional). To wet your appetite for the Poetry Reading by the Center’s poets on May 29th, you will hear a poem read by each of the four of them.
