Journeying on Thursdays – Introduction to Aromatherapy with Kate Johnson

Your Nose Knows! Come share the aromatherapy experience of several common essential oils with some friends.

Catherine (Kate) E. Johnson has been a Registered Nurse for 35 years and the state Alliance of
International Aromatherapists representative for Massachusetts for nearly the past two years and
was recently nominated to the Membership Committee and the Board of Directors. Kate has
been a Registered Aromatherapist by the Aromatherapy Registration Council since April 2022.

Kate graduated with a PhD in Nursing Education from Capella University and her dissertation
was titled: The Effect of Diffused Aromatherapy on Test Anxiety Among Baccalaureate Nursing
Students (ED554168).

Dr. Johnson has taught Foundations of Aromatherapy for the American College of Healthcare
Sciences and is passionate about educating the public about the safety and research of essential
oils.
