Better Balance through Grounding and Body Awareness

It is requested that you attend all 4 sessions.
Class fee is $35 total for all 4 sessions

This is training in a 20-minute program that involves both exercises and meditations. The purpose of the program is to help you understand and develop the ability to be effectively grounded by becoming more mindful of your body. Grounding has been shown to have a myriad of benefits for every system in the body. In this class we will focus on creating a conscious relationship with the Earth by becoming more aware of our bodies in space and in balance. This will help you have more confidence in walking, moving and reduce the fear of falling.

During the four classes Carol will teach a series of exercises and meditations that will be easily repeatable in 20 minutes. You will be given an illustrated pamphlet that can be used to help you continue the practice.

Carol has studied with Elaine Summers in Kinetic Awareness and Body Awareness, has a master’s degree in Dance/Movement Therapy, and has a continuing personal practice of yoga and Qigong.
