You will have the opportunity to braid sweetgrass that I have grown. We will discuss how these principles inform a balanced way of living. There will be a meditation and story telling extolling Native wisdom desperately needed in our current culture. \nCarol Marcy spent 15 years as a part of a sweat lodge community and the Cherokee Good Medicine society. Her teachers were generous. These teachings are dear to her heart. The inspiration for this workshop comes from Robin Wall Kimmerer’s book Braiding Sweetgrass.

DESCRIPTION:MINDFUL YOGA\nTuesday\, 4:30 – 5:30 PM\n$20\nwith Jenna Sammartino\nweekly\, year-long \nchanging to $23 per class in 2026 \nAt its essence the practice of yoga is about cultivating embodied awareness\, a tranquility that provides both stability and easefulness. Classes incorporate the soft movements of floor-based somatic awareness with traditional asana for a deeply nourishing experience. \nTeacher Jenna Sammartino is known for her contemplative approach to yoga\, creative use of props to explore the felt sense of the body\, and incorporation of Buddhist philosophy in her teachings. Her classes regularly integrate wisdom themes to complement movement themes. She is a Prajna Yoga Teacher and certified SATYA (somatic awareness for yoga) teacher with decades of training in traditional yoga asana\, meditation\, somatic movement\, and anatomy. She is registered with Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 500 level. \nLearn more about Jenna’s approach to yoga at JennaYoga.com.
