SUMMARY:Bird Is The Word\, Mindful Birding
DESCRIPTION:Bird is the Word\nMindful Birding\nSundays\, 8:00-9:00 AM\nAugust 24 and 31\nChase Park\, Chatham \nTake a breather with birds. We invite you to gather with us for a Sunday morning practice of Mindful Birding. We will slow down and relax our nervous systems by mindfully tuning into the birds at Chase Park in Chatham. \nThe birds are excellent allies to bring us into the present moment to experience rejuvenation and connection to nature. The practice is a simple yet potent way to cultivate relaxation\, a quiet mind\, and a deep love for birds. \nMindful birding dovetails perfectly with the awareness and presence needed to learn the secret language of the birds. By paying attention to birds’ vocalizations and behaviors\, we can decode their communication. Deepen your kinship with birds through mindfulness in the great outdoors. \nMolly is a mindful birding guide. She is certified by the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership and in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). She is trained as a Somatic Coach with the Strozzi Institute and facilitates Mindful Birding for Mass Audubon\, Green Briar Nature Center\, Weaving Earth\, and the Center for Spiritual Journey. \nLearn more at www.mollytsongas.com/mindful-birding \nFill out my LGL Form!

And\, being with our grief in community\, with other\ngrievers- is one of the most potent ways to co-regulate and heal our nervous system\nduring times of great stress\, change and loss. \nJoin us to explore:\nWhat is grief anyhow and how long am I ‘allowed’ to grieve? Spoiler: There is no time\nstamp on grief.\nThe 4 orientations to grief which include: Entering\, engaging\, surrendering and\ntransforming\nWhat happens in the body when we grieve?\nDifferent manifestations of grief\nThe unexpected opportunities embedded in grief\nHealing tools\, rituals and practices to support the griever\nThrough a guided grounding meditation\, heartfelt conversation\, journaling\, and a fun\ncreative activity- we will begin the process of acknowledging\, honoring and transforming\nout grief.\nMy hope is that participants leave this workshop with increased grief awareness\, daily\npractices to support themselves plus greater self-compassion and inner peace. \nPlease note: Sharing in the group is ALWAYS optional. You are welcome to come and\njust be in the space if you like. SUMMARY:Mindful Yoga with Jenna
DESCRIPTION:MINDFUL YOGA\nTuesday\, 4:30 – 5:30 PM\n$20\nwith Jenna Sammartino\nweekly\, year-long \nchanging to $23 per class in 2026 \nAt its essence the practice of yoga is about cultivating embodied awareness\, a tranquility that provides both stability and easefulness. These gently-paced classes weave together awareness of body\, breath\, and mind in thoughtfully-sequenced practices appropriate for all levels. Classes incorporate the soft movements of floor-based somatic awareness with traditional asana for a deeply nourishing experience. \nTeacher Jenna Sammartino is known for her contemplative approach to yoga\, creative use of props to explore the felt sense of the body\, and incorporation of Buddhist philosophy in her teachings. Her classes regularly integrate wisdom themes to complement movement themes. She is a Prajna Yoga Teacher and certified SATYA (somatic awareness for yoga) teacher with decades of training in traditional yoga asana\, meditation\, somatic movement\, and anatomy. She is registered with Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 500 level. \nLearn more about Jenna’s approach to yoga at JennaYoga.com.
