SUMMARY:Sound Bath of Solfeggio Tones -February 15\, 2024
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, February 15\, 2024\n7pm\nProgram cost: $30\nwith Bonnie Fedge\nRegistration will close at 4pm the day of the program \nThe Solfeggio Tones originated as six frequencies proven effective at healing the body. They were found in Gregorian Chants\, lost and then found again\, and researched for results. Three more have since been added\, all following a pattern\, but we will start with the initial six\, using different ones each time that work well together. They are 396hz\, 417hz\, 528hz\, 639hz\, 741hz\, 852hz. Occasionally chimes\, drum beats\, and other tones will be included for variation and receptivity. \nThis is one of many styles of Sound Baths. Comfortably lie down\, and just take it in. We hope you try it! \nBonnie Fedge is a Reiki Master\, Advanced Akashic Records\, is completing her certification in Essential Oils and has used the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) for years. She is also a Sound Bath teacher and facilitator. \nFill out my LGL Form!

SUMMARY:Forest Bathing Walking Meditation
DESCRIPTION:with Carol Marcy at Sylvan Gardens in Chatham. You should be at the Center for the Spiritual Journey\, 880 Main Street\, Chatham\, MA no later than 12:20pm to meet Carol Marcy who will accompany you to Sylvan Gardens and lead your walk.\nPreregistration is required by 5pm on the Monday before the class.\n$10 per session \nThis concept of Forest Bathing grew out of a practice in Japan called Shinrin-yoku that spread to China and Korea and now to the United States. It is about swimming in the living being of the forest: drinking in the smells\, feeling the breeze on your skin\, hearing it move through the trees\, soaking up the warm healing rays of the sun\, touching the earth with awareness. Because this practice is about slowing down\, focusing on the abundant life in and around you\, it is immensely healing. You return from this experience refreshed\, calmer\, more at peace on the inside. Your body\, mind\, spirit and heart have had an opportunity to feel a deep sense of connection with yourself and with Nature. \nThese walks are led by Carol Marcy\, who has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and certification as a Meditation teacher. She has been leading meditative walks on Cape Cod for several years. Please join us for a wonderful heart opening experience. The walk is approximately 1 mile long on easy and beautiful terrain. Please dress comfortably for hiking. Be sure that you are warm enough because we go slowly. \nYou should be at the Center for the Spiritual Journey\, 880 Main Street\, Chatham\, MA no later than 12:20pm to meet Carol Marcy who will accompany you to Sylvan Gardens and lead your walk. \nEmail Tricia at info@csjcapecod.org with questions. \nFill out my LGL Form!

SUMMARY:Journeying on Thursdays - Sacred Conversations Info Session with Dawn Tolley & Sue Johnson
DESCRIPTION:The Sacred Art of Conversation Info Session\nGenerous Listening & Asking Better Questions\nBased on Krista Tippett’s “On Being Project” \nYour hosts and facilitators are Dawn Tolley and Sue Johnson\, who have a passion to learn and grow in community! \n Please join us for an information session about the Sacred Art of Conversation.  You will gain more information as to how we create a warm\, welcoming\, and safe space in community\, to take up the hard questions of our time and for renewing our common life. We believe there is value in learning to speak together honestly and relate to each other with dignity\, without rushing to common ground that would leave all the hard questions hanging. We will learn about how to practice together in order to live together differently. \n“This is civic work and it is human spiritual work – in the most expansive 21st century sense of that language. We can learn from our time what moral imagination\, social healing\, and civil discourse can look like and how they work. And so it us up to us\, where we live\, to start having the conversations we want to be hearing\, and creating the realities we want to inhabit.” Krista Tippett

DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the Thursday gathering is to introduce you to the Cherokee Medicine Wheel and the course being offered by Starfeather beginning March 10th. \nCome explore the basic meaning and experience the magic of the Cherokee Medicine Wheel.  It is a map to all of Creation\, which is both visual and experiential.  You will learn the basic structure of the wheel and be able to walk a model of it.  You will be shown how to use it as a way to set an intention. \nStarfeather had the opportunity to learn the intricate details of the Wheel from White Horse Woman\, a Cherokee Medicine Woman in preparation for their Walk into the Elder Lodge.  Hear the significance of this experience from Starfeather’s written words and the way in which she has carried this teaching forward.

In this class we will focus on creating a conscious relationship with the Earth by becoming more aware of our bodies in space and in balance. This will help you have more confidence in walking\, moving and reduce the fear of falling. \nDuring the four classes Carol will teach a series of exercises and meditations that will be easily repeatable in 20 minutes. You will be given an illustrated pamphlet that can be used to help you continue the practice. \nCarol has studied with Elaine Summers in Kinetic Awareness and Body Awareness\, has a master’s degree in Dance/Movement Therapy\, and has a continuing personal practice of yoga and Qigong. \nRegistration is closed.
