SUMMARY:Soul Care Series - Session Two - Meditation: Discovery and Exploring Stillness
DESCRIPTION:This evening’s session will be facilitated by Ruah Bull and presented by Rich Hunt \nHow can we slip beneath the surface of our ordinary lives\, and begin to embrace our own depths and mysteries? A regular meditation practice can help us to realize who we are beyond the words\, beyond the sense of self\, and can naturally reveal how we can be more fully present\, moment by moment. In this brief workshop\, you will be led through a couple of short practice sessions\, and begin the discovery of this under-explored terrain. \nEach session over the following weeks will focus on a different practice and as we learn and\ngrow together may our hearts\, minds and bodies remember that WE are each others harvests! \nWe will end the eight sessions with one focused on choosing our path forward and keeping\nthe community garden growing. \nOnce your registration is complete you will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link for the session.\nThe Zoom link can be used for all sessions. \nIf you have any questions or need more information\, please contact info@csjcapecod.org \nFill out my LGL Form!

SUMMARY:Sound Bath of Solfeggio Tones

SUMMARY:Forest Bathing Walking Meditation
DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED AND CLOSES AT 4PM ON 9/22.  YOU CAN NOT JOIN THE WALK WITHOUT REGISTERING ONLINE FIRST. \nwith Carol Marcy at Sylvan Gardens in Chatham. You should be at the Center for the Spiritual Journey\, 880 Main Street\, Chatham\, MA no later than 12:20pm to meet Carol Marcy who will accompany you to Sylvan Gardens and lead your walk.\n$10 per session \nThis concept of Forest Bathing grew out of a practice in Japan called Shinrin-yoku that spread to China and Korea and now to the United States. It is about swimming in the living being of the forest: drinking in the smells\, feeling the breeze on your skin\, hearing it move through the trees\, soaking up the warm healing rays of the sun\, touching the earth with awareness. Because this practice is about slowing down\, focusing on the abundant life in and around you\, it is immensely healing. You return from this experience refreshed\, calmer\, more at peace on the inside. Your body\, mind\, spirit and heart have had an opportunity to feel a deep sense of connection with yourself and with Nature. \nThese walks are led by Carol Marcy\, who has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and certification as a Meditation teacher. She has been leading meditative walks on Cape Cod for several years. Please join us for a wonderful heart opening experience. The walk is approximately 1 mile long on easy and beautiful terrain. Please dress comfortably for hiking. Be sure that you are warm enough because we go slowly. \nYou should be at the Center for the Spiritual Journey\, 880 Main Street\, Chatham\, MA no later than 12:20pm to meet Carol Marcy who will accompany you to Sylvan Gardens and lead your walk. \nEmail Tricia at info@csjcapecod.org with questions. \nFill out my LGL Form!

SUMMARY:Soul Care Series - Session One - Invitation to the Soul Care Journey
DESCRIPTION:This session will be facilitated by Amanda Davis\, presented by Anne Bonney with Ruah Bull leading the opening prayer \nWhat is the Soul Care Journey? \nGiven the uncertainty of events unfolding around us\, within ourselves\, our families\, our politics\,\nour climate\, and our environment\, one thing we do know for sure is that we need to be a\ncommunity of support and care\, cultivating skills and practices within ourselves and others that\nhelp us all in these tumultuous times. \nWe will be tending our gardens from seeds to harvest. While practicing healing techniques\,\ndiscovering wise communication strategies\, enjoying newfound community and much more\, we\nwill prepare the ground for those gardens. How do you prepare the ground\, what are the seeds\n– what’s the honey we are harvesting – we are cultivating personal skills for ourselves and our\ncommunity. \nOur focus will not be on the politics or even on the fears of these times. Soul Care is not a therapy\ngroup but is a community where we are encouraged to use our inner wisdom\, to speak from our\nhearts and listen with respect. \nWe will begin our journey together by walking a finger labyrinth. (print a copy here or use the\none that will be on the screen during the session). The labyrinth is an ancient\, artistic and sacred pattern with a\nsingle winding path that provides a meditative walk to the center and back out again. With all its\ntwists and turns\, labyrinths are often thought to symbolize our journeys through life\, providing a\nunifying and healing experience for body\, mind and spirit. \nEach session over the following weeks will focus on a different practice and as we learn and\ngrow together may our hearts\, minds and bodies remember that WE are each others harvests! \nWe will end the eight weeks with a session focused on choosing our path forward and keeping\nthe community garden growing. \nOnce your registration is complete you will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link for the session.\nThe Zoom link can be used for all sessions. \nIf you have any questions or need more information\, please contact info@csjcapecod.org \nFill out my LGL Form!

Each week we will read a small chapter from 21 Stages of Meditation by Gurucharan Singh Kalsa\, PhD and come together to discuss ‘jewels’ of the reading followed by group meditation. You will be introduced to some of the techniques that we use in Kundalini meditation and prove to you that anyone can meditate. \nBevin Stark\, Cape native\, has spent over 20 years practicing Kundalini yoga and has been teaching 3-4 days a week for the past 10 yrs. One of the greatest benefits that Bevin has experienced in her practice of yoga and meditation is a deep inner peace\, a stillness and the profound connection with Self and others.  This experience of connection is especially potent in this age of disconnect and isolation. From this experience\, blossoms a knowing\, which in turn leads to a shift in how you experience the world. \nFill out my LGL Form!

SUMMARY:Sound Bath of Solfeggio Tones
DESCRIPTION:Program cost: $30\nwith Bonnie Fedge \nThe Solfeggio Tones originated as six frequencies proven effective at healing the body. SUMMARY:Family Systems Reframe
DESCRIPTION:with Ben Emery\nThursday\, August 22 \nThe Family Systems Reframe draws on the European modality known as Systemic Constellations. \nWhat is a constellation? The shape that is taken when the people\, agendas\, desires\, blockages\, inherited stories and other invisible forces that inform a given person’s way of being in the world are invited to assume physical form in the present\, despite all the reasons to keep such things hidden away. \nAs a therapeutic approach it delves into the hidden dynamics and entanglements within one’s ancestral family system. Originating in Germany in the 1980s\, it was developed by Bert Hellinger\, drawing inspiration from family systems therapy and Zulu attitudes toward ancestors. The milieu aims to address would-be personal challenges through a systemic lens. Through the guidance of a facilitator\, participants are asked to represent family members or elements of the focus client’s family system. By arranging these representatives in physical space and allowing them to interact\, the modality brings to light unconscious intergenerational patterns and loyalties\, widening the client’s perspective and allowing him or her to find new solutions. By addressing the systemic origins of problems\, Family Constellations incite healing and transformation\, fostering acceptance\, gratitude\, and compassion towards the family system. \nThe Family Systems Reframe workshop takes a decisive step back from group therapy in favor of something more akin to fireside storying; along with all the laughter and camaraderie that you might come with it. \nBen Emery has a Master of Restorative Practices in Youth Counseling\, International Institute for Restorative Practices\nBachelor of Human Resource Management\, University of Colorado Boulder\nFamiienaktivationsmanegment Certified [Family System Reboot in Child Protection].
