SUMMARY:SoulCollage® and the Labyrinth as Pathways for Transformation
DESCRIPTION:Friday\, October 14 7 – 9pm\nSaturday\, October 15 9:30 – 4:30pm\nSpace is Limited so don’t delay! \nPresented by Catherine Anderson\nRetreat cost: $185\nPartial Scholarships are available.\nPlease contact us at info@csjcapecod.org \nIn this workshop we will use both the labyrinth and the SoulCollage® process as guides to access our own inner resources and intuition. Using one of these practices alone will make a difference in your life\, but used together they amplify and deepen each other because they are both languages of the soul. They enable us to access our inner wisdom and deepen our understanding of ourselves as we journey on this path called life. Both processes allow us to create a sense of order out of the information that bombards us from all directions\, and both encourage us to develop a higher level of awareness which enables us to thrive in the complex and ever-changing world in which we live. \nDuring our time together you will: \n\nCreate SoulCollage® cards using symbolic imagery\nCreate your own simple Finger Labyrinth\nLearn ways to add the symbolic energy of the labyrinth to your SoulCollage® cards\nExperience using your SoulCollage® cards as a doorway to your intuitive wisdom\nExperience a facilitated Labyrinth walk\n\nEach participant will receive a kit containing a set of 10 blank cards to make your SoulCollage® cards together with clearbags to protect them\, a glue stick\, materials for your finger labyrinth\, as well as other surprises from Catherine. A rich selection of collage images will also be provided. \nThis workshop is a Veriditas Approved Qualifying Workshop for anyone wishing to attend a Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator Training. \nCatherine Anderson uses the labyrinth\, SoulCollage®\, expressive arts\, poetry and mindfulness as pathways for self-discovery and as ways of uncovering meaning and purpose in life. Her personal journey of self-discovery has taken her from a career as an attorney to photography franchise owner\, to creativity workshop facilitator. \nCancellation Policy: Should it be necessary for you to cancel your participation in this retreat you will be refunded the retreat costs less the $25 non-refundable deposit\, provided your cancellation is made more than two weeks prior to the start of the retreat. If your cancellation is less that two weeks before the retreat you will forfeit the retreat cost. You are also welcome to find someone to take your place in the retreat. \nFill out my LGL Form!

SUMMARY:The History and Wisdom of the Labyrinth
DESCRIPTION:Program fee: $25 \nYou are invited to learn more about the beautiful\, circular\, artistic designs called ‘labyrinths’ that have been part of our evolving consciousness for thousands of years. A labyrinth is a meditative walk that winds its way to the center and back out again. With its twists and turns\, it is often thought of as a metaphor for our lives. \nThe first part will be a journey through the History and Wisdom of the labyrinth from ancient times to today’s modern and creative interpretations. \nThe presentation will be followed by a guided walk at the Chatham Labyrinth located in Chase Park just beyond the Gristmill. There will be a charge of $25.00 for the program which includes light refreshments and handouts. In case of rain\, we will walk our indoor labyrinth upstairs in the loft of the Center. All are welcome to come and learn as well as receive the gifts the labyrinth may hold for you! \nRev. Anne Bonney is one of the Co-Founders of the Center for the Spiritual Journey and serves on the Board of Trustees. She is an Ordained Minister and Certified Spiritual Director; she holds a Master of Divinity Degree and a Master of Theology in Interfaith Spirituality from Candler School of Theology at Emory University\, with further studies at the Tamilnadu Seminary in Madurai\, India.Anne first discovered the labyrinth when on a Sabbatical and visited The Chartres Cathedral in France. Through Veriditas (veriditas.com) she became a Certified Advanced Labyrinth facilitator and is currently serving on the Board and the faculty of Veriditas offering workshops and trainings. She was Co-Director of the Chatham Labyrinth Project (chathamlabyrinth.com) which built the beautiful Chatham labyrinth and created the Peace Garden in Chase Park. This is the 8th year that CSJ has sponsored this opportunity for the community to come together in solidarity with all who are hungry in body and soul. \nThe labyrinth is located off Shattuck Place beyond the Gristmill in Chase Park\, Chatham. SUMMARY:Monday Morning Book Circle
DESCRIPTION:with Anne Bonney and Dawn Tolley \nPerhaps you too have felt the shock\, the horror and the pain of what is happening in the Middle East\, and throughout the world.  In light of the suffering and darkness in our world right now\, Valerie Kaur offers us this.. “To all of us witnessing this story: what does love want you to do? .. Remember that you don’t need to do all the things\, just the one thing that’s yours to do.” \nAs an organization that values love\, peace with justice\, and compassion –  we ask ourselves “what is ours to do”? \nSo we begin by inviting you\, along with us\, to “be a part of the change we wish to see” as we gather together in a loving\, compassionate circle to talk about the book:  God of Love ~ A Guide to the Heart of Judaism\, Christianity\, and Islam by Mirabai Starr. Please join us for a  morning of reflection and discussion that we hope will offer us wisdom and inspiration for the times we are living in. (And if you can’t read the whole book by then\, that’s ok too\, join us anyway!) \n “We need a spirituality profoundly respectful of humanity’s diverse participation in the sacred\, that is also unifying and humble\, rooted in the earth\, sustained by the diversity of life forms\, and respectful of the emerging wisdom traditions”.  ~Beverly Lanzetta \nThere is no charge but we ask that you register so we have a idea of how many will attend. \nFill out my LGL Form!

SUMMARY:A Vigil for Peace
DESCRIPTION:Join us this Tuesday evening as we share seven candles lit for peace\, for harmony\, for healing\, for love unconditionally\, for the sacredness of life\, for those hurting\, and for those lost. \nThere are moments when we are left speechless\, unable to find words to express and understand. Our world is living in one of those times\, a perfect time to consider silence. \nWe will not discuss or solve\, find allies or enemies\, but come together in our shared human experience and feel the loss and love together. We will sit together in silence. Come and go as feels appropriate to you. Share hands and hugs as are welcome. Say a prayer. \nBring a candle and light it from one of the shared candles. Say a prayer and bring it with you. Light it at home to honor the shared silence and spirit of Peace. \nALL are WELCOME.

She is devoted to her yoga studies and continues her education in yoga asana (the physical practice) as well as yogic philosophy and history\, and the “deeper practices” of yoga. As a result\, she is influenced and inspired by a variety of teachers in other styles of yoga which include yin yoga\, ashtanga yoga and various meditation practices. \nWhen you register you will receive a confirmation email for the class with the zoom link. \nFill out my LGL Form!
